It’s the new year already, your resolutions set high,
Your motivations are clear, and you’re ready to dive.
Into the deep end, no time to waste,
But hold on a minute—no need for haste.
Prepare before you dare, this is the key,
Let’s talk about quitting with people you see.
Let others know your stop-smoking plan,
So they can support you all that they can.
Clear out your ashtrays—they don’t belong,
Get rid of tobacco, and then you’ll stay strong.
Remember why you’re quitting—a reminder will help,
Barriers to quitting often come from yourself.
Stress and boredom may be part of your day,
But you’re learning to manage in a much better way.
Smoking that cig won’t change how you feel,
The problem’s still there, so let’s make this deal:
To strive to live better, to feel more alive,
Feel more confident—give yourself a high five!
A pat on the back goes a long way, for sure,
Focus on the future, not what’s gone before.
Learn from mistakes, as we all should do,
But believe in yourself—this is something YOU CAN DO!
It may feel hard, a struggle along the way,
But this won’t last long, and at last you can say:
You’ve done it, you’ve quit, you took that deep dive,
Into a healthier, wealthier, thriving, energising SMOKEFREE 2025!
