What was your main reason for accessing the service?
I wanted to quit so I would be able to save money and buy a new dog!
Did you believe you could achieve 4 weeks smokefree?
Yes, I was determined.
How you used stop smoking medication to help you quit? How did you find them?
Yes, I used patches and my vape. The 24 hour patches really helped with cravings.
Apart from medication, what else helped you quit and stay smokefree?
Support from Amanda at Yorkshire Smokefree was brilliant, receiving the motivational text messages was also really helpful.
Has your health improved since you quit and if so, in what ways?
I feel so much happier, I have much better breathing and can walk much further.
Other than your improved health, what else have you achieved since quitting smoking?
I'm doing a 100k walk for Alzheimer's charity.
What have you found helpful about accessing the service via telephone?
I loved the support, it really helped with my mental health also. I also found it much easier not having to travel.
